Literature Text

With a face bare,
Seemingly concentrating, solid stone,
I use small clumsy fingers,
Hoping to find a smile I can call my own.
In my mind there are doubts,
One for each small finger, on a single hand,
One for the look of a down turned face,
One that says the result might hurt,
One that says the move is a disgrace,
One for the ways you profess,
One for my mind in its distress.
The other battles back with its ideals.
A face set alive even for a second with a simple smile,
Some movement I haven't seen in a while.
A voice that let's my mind whirl,
The laugh that causes my lips to curl,
And a hope that you don't mind.
Then a Heart that sways reason,
Saying that, even if it's only for a small time, isn't he mine?
This might be he birthday present, along with another thing, is it good enough? He always wondering why I bug him anyway, maybe it's time I give him an answer.

I guess I can only put lovey poems on here, at least for right now. XD

I think he'll like it. ^^ Are you going to make him a card with this in it or are you going to make an art piece with the poem centered in it?
Oh, and I know what you mean. For some reason, love poems seem to be the easiest to write. Perhaps because love is the most inspiring?
Also, did you mean seemingly* concentrating?
By the way, Kayla did not have the baby yet. .-.
